MRS. ALMA ANNETTA VICTORIA HARVEY Of Kearney Peacefully at Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie on Wednesday January 16, 2013. Mrs. Alma Harvey, beloved wife of the late Mr. Harvey Everett Harvey, was in her 84th year. Dear mother of David (Ann), Gerald (Cindy), Crystal (Romain), Trevor (Colleen) and Douglas. Proud grandmother of Justin, Caitlin, Ryan, Erin, Shannon, Trent, Kayla and Kelsey. Alma is predeceased by her brother Oran Hayes (Pat) and was an elementary teacher and principal for 38 years in Kearney, Burk's Falls and North Bay. The family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street in Burk's Falls on Monday January 21, 2013 from 7 to 9 p.m. An Order of the Eastern Star service will take place in the funeral home Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. A service to celebrate the life of the late Mrs. Harvey will be conducted in Knox United Church in Kearney commencing at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday January 22, 2013 with Reverend Nina Fulford officiating. Interment of cremated remains in the Knox United Cemetery at a later date. If desired, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or the Harmony United Church Congregation would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
