AILEEN MAY LONGHURST of Sundridge Went home to be with her Lord peacefully at Eastholme in Powassan on Monday April 2, 2018 in her 97th year. Aileen Longhurst (nee Russell), beloved wife of the late Clifford Longhurst. Loving mother of Marilyn MacKay (McIsaac) (Archie MacKay), Russell Longhurst (Diane) and Allan Longhurst (Linda). Proud grandma of Richard, Blake, Reagan (Monique), Zita Marie (Blaise), Aileen (Roy), Jamie (Barb), Maureen (Kevin), Michael (Diana), Rebecca (Jeff), Daniel (Joy-Ann), Dustin (Natalie), Tennille (Josh) and great grandmother of 23. Predeceased by son Larry Longhurst, and sisters: Edith Rae (late George and late Bill Pratt), Gertrude Gibson (late Everitt) and Eva Good (late Mel). Fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home - Moore Chapel, 9 Paget Street in Sundridge on Monday April 9, 2018 from 6-8 P.M. and at the Sundridge Gospel Mission, 303 Sunnyridge Road in Sundridge on Tuesday April 10, 2018 from 12:30 - 1:30 P.M. A service to celebrate the life of the late Aileen Longhurst will follow in the church on Tuesday April 10, 2018 at 1:30 P.M. with Mr. Stephen Ramsay officiating. Spring interment at the Strong Cemetery in Sundridge.
