Passed away peacefully at Dufferin Oaks Long Term Care Facility in Shelburne on Wednesday May 1, 2019.
Betty Bates, nee Kippax, beloved wife of the late James Clare Bates, was in her 96th year.
Loving mother of Rick and his wife Wanda of Hillsburgh.
Cherished grandmother of Paul and his wife Dawn of Rosemont, Andrea and her husband Tim of Hillsburgh.
Great grandmother of Ava and Claire.
Betty is survived by her brother Joe Kippax.
The family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home - Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street, Burk's Falls on Sunday May 5, 2019 from 1 to 2 p.m.
A service to celebrate Betty's life will follow in the chapel commencing at 2:00 p.m. with Doreen Mason LPM officiating.
Interment in Burk's Falls Cemetery
If desired, in lieu of flowers donations to a charity of your choice would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
