THOMAS ARTHUR LEE
AKA Buckie the Clown
Formerly of Huntsville
Thomas Arthur Lee (aka Buckie the Clown) formerly of Huntsville, Ontario passed peacefully in Gravenhurst on Wednesday, January 1, 2020. Beloved father of Gloria Wade was in his 92nd year.
Tom, a Shriner and active member of the Masonic Lodge, tirelessly worked to support the community and the Masonic order until incapacitated by health issues. He served as the Worshipful Master of Algonquin Masonic Lodge in Emsdale, was Past District Deputy Grand Master of the Parry Sound Muskoka District, and co-formed the Clown Unit of the Muskoka Shrine Club.
Carpentry and helping others were his passion. His good deeds included co-driving needy kids to the Shriners Hospital and accompanying a neighbor in his tow truck every winter to help stranded motorists.
Through perseverance and hard work, Tom rose from being a street corner paper boy to circulation director of a major newspaper, to Buckie the Clown in his retirement years.
His smile will be remembered by those whose lives he touched.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic a Masonic memorial service will be held at a later date.
Private interment in St. Mark’s Cemetery in Emsdale.
If desired, memorial donations to the Shiner's Hospital Foundation would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
