Peacefully at South Muskoka Memorial Hospital in Bracebridge on Friday April 12, 2019.
Helen Groome, beloved wife of the late George Groome, was in her 93rd year.
Mother of Gordon and Gary Groome and mother in law to Verna and Rita.
Grandmother of Holly, Heidi, Gordy, Jaret, Tracy and the late Robbie.
Helen will be fondly remembered by several generations: grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren as well as many friends and other family.
The family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street in Burk's Falls on Friday April 19, 2019 from 2 to 4 p.m. with an opportunity to share memories at 3:00 p.m.
Everyone is welcome to attend the interment in the Knox United Cemetery in Kearney on Saturday June 22, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. A memorial tree planting ceremony will follow.
If desired, memorial donations to send a child to the Scarborough Outdoor Education School or a charity of your choice would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
