Linda, George, Jason and Steven and families. We are on the road driving to Florida and we are so saddened to hear of George's death. George and Sharron were one of the first couples that we met when we first moved to Sundridge over 40 years ago and we spent many memorable and fun times together. George introduced us to snow machines and we (and in particular Doug) had many great outings. George always had wonderful stories to tell with a terrific sense of humour that always left us laughing. He will be missed by both of us.

Les & I have so many memories from our early days when George & Les had their convertibles. George had so many stories to tell us. We had so many laughs. He was so kind and helpful. George Jr. and our son Mark were good friends through school they both wanted to be O.P.P. officers. Mark was able to be accepted. Sadly George didn't get in. We have all inter connected in one way until a few years ago. He was a good man. We were pleased to know he and the boys. Linda you are in our pray and thoughts.

We are saddened to learn of George's passing.
He had started the trucking business when we were about to build our home here in Sundridge and he brought in the gravel etc. that was needed... that dates back a long way.
Always enjoyed chats with him..
He will be greatly missed in the community.

We were so sorry to hear of George's passing .Our thoughts and prayers are with Linda and George's family. Loved his stories, the story we remember most is 43 yrs ago George brought us top soil to our first house and he lost his wallet in the top soil. We looked and looked for it but we couldn't find it. Every time we seen him he would remind us what an expensive front lawn we had. Great guy he will be missed. Joe & Beth Scott

Our sincerest condolences are extended to the Cottrell family.
We first met George ten years ago while he was logging on Kent's Mill Road on our way into our camp in Joly Township. He was a real gentleman, very knowledgeable about the lumber industry, and a great story teller about the local happenings in Sundridge. We had hired him to do some backhoe work later at our camp. We valued his experience, honesty and his work ethic. Last year, met him at the local coffee shop where he took time for a visit. In our short time of knowing him, he certainly seemed well respected in the village. To his family, cherish the good times spent with George and his memories.
Regards,
Jim & Donna Fischer, Walkerton
